My mother gets care at home and the carers don’t visit when they say they have or for as long as they should – who do I tell? My neighbour has dementia, and I am worried that others may be taking advantage of her financially and spending her money – who do I tell? My friend’s husband is submitting invoices to the council for much more than the actual work costs – I don’t think that is right, who do I tell? I know someone who works for several different councils at the same time – are they allowed to do this? The headteacher at my children’s school has given a building contract to a relative – I don’t think that is allowed – what can I do? I know someone who works for the council and has been off sick, but they are working somewhere else – should I tell someone? My neighbour regularly uses her disabled parent’s blue badge to avoid paying parking costs – who should I tell? I am sure my neighbour claims single person council tax discount, but her husband and adult children also live there – can I report that? I used a QR code to park locally and think I’ve been scammed. I know someone who is selling dogs and cats that do not have a licence to do so. I overheard someone brag about how much money she has in the bank, but I know they get benefits. My friend requires many prescriptions from the doctors. I know she doesn’t pay and isn’t entitled to free NHS prescriptions. I received a telephone call from what I thought was my bank, they told me money had come out of my account for a purchase I didn’t make. They wanted my bank details to ‘investigate the fraud’ and so I gave this to them. All my money was taken from my account. I know someone who is using a different name to get drugs on prescription. Someone I work with is claiming sick pay due to ill health but are on holiday travelling. I know someone who is currently off sick from work at the local hospital, but is working in a different hospital. I met someone online. They told me they desperately needed money for their child to have surgery. I gave them the money and now they’ve blocked me on everything. I’ve been charged a lot more than what I was originally quoted for work to be carried out on my house. My friend’s daughter lives between two addresses but only pays for council tax at one address. I flagged down what I thought was a taxi, but a very small taxi sign advertised. I don’t think this was a legitimate taxi. I am concerned about my elderly next door neighbour being exploited for money. My neighbour has different people staying at their address each month. It is a 1-bedroom flat. I entered a prize draw and received an email saying I had won the jackpot. I gave all my bank details as requested and now I cannot access my bank account. I signed up to a company who said they would help me build my own business. I provided the upfront fee they requested, and I never received any correspondence from them. I saw a flat advertised on Facebook. I went to view the property, and it is a social housing property and not privately owned. My son has power of attorney over my financial affairs. I’ve noticed over the last few months he has been transferring large amounts of my money to his account. A company I worked for has gone bust however they are still trading. I put my credit card into the machine, and I think my card was cloned. Who do I report this to?
