Forest of Dean District Council has prosecuted an individual for offences relating to the Animal Welfare Act 2006

On 8 July 2025, at Cheltenham Magistrates Court, Philippa Tovey of Greenacre, Bream, pleaded guilty to offences in relation to the Animal Welfare Act.  Ms Tovey pleaded guilty to one count of causing unnecessary suffering to a puppy and one count of failing to meet the needs of five dogs and two guinea pigs in her care.
